We’ve been fortunate enough to visit the factories and work spaces of many of the worlds major motor manufactures, included in this list is the Ferrari F actory at Maranello in Italy. We where there to shoot the Ferrari 599 GTB, and decided that the back drop of the factory would make a great location, to our amazement there was a whole line of Ferrari Formula 1 cars on display, we couldn’t believe our luck…!

FORD F250 SUPER CHIEF

The great thing about being a photographer is you get access to places, situations and people who aren’t easily accessible. One of these places was the Ford Rouge Factory in Detroit, we spent an evening there photographing the Ford F250 Super Chief, a massive concept truck, showing the general design direction for the future Ford passenger trucks.

We’re never one to sit still when it comes to web design. We’re fortunate to have a great team to call upon in this area and the latest update to www.leepowers.com has us particularly excited.

Along with the new home page design, we’re extremely pleased with the new keyword tagging system, we soft launched a previous version, but on this update it’s really become an indispensable tool. Next to each image will be an italicised list of words that relate to the image, for example, celebrity, white background, fashion, action etc Upon creating a folio based upon a key word, there is a PDF feature, which generates a unique url, or can be downloaded to your desktop.

Did you know the new Ford Transit will have thousands of new changes over the previous model.? We worked with the folks over at Ogilvy London to produce a campaign of 6 images which highlighted some of these new features, ranging from the improved fuel economy to LED cabin lighting.

Lee Powers was awarded in the International Photography Awards Competition. International Photography Awards (IPA) has announced the winners of 2012′s competition.

Lee Powers was Awarded: Honorable Mention in Editorial – Other category for the winning entry “Fight Club.” published in Mens Health, UK.

The 2012 International Photography Awards received nearly 18,000 submissions from 104 countries across the globe. IPA is a sister-effort of the Lucie Foundation, where the top three winners are announced at the annual Lucie Awards gala ceremony. The Foundation’s mission is to honor master photographers, to discover new and emerging talent and to promote the appreciation of photography.
